The volume of the metallurgical industry increased in Uzbekistan
In January-August of the current year, the volume of the metallurgical industry in Uzbekistan increased by 7.8 percent compared to the corresponding period of last year.
According to data provided by the National Statistical Committee, in the first eight months of the current year, the total volume of the metallurgical industry in the country amounted to 243.6 trillion sums. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, a 7.8 percent growth was observed in this sector.
The main part of the industry's production volume fell to the share of certain regions. In particular, Navoi region took first place with an indicator of 157.6 trillion sums. Also, metallurgical products worth 62 trillion sums were produced in Tashkent region, and 14.5 trillion sums in the city of Tashkent.
Industry indicators were also recorded in other regions. Specifically, a volume of 6.2 trillion sums was recorded in Samarkand region, 898.3 billion sums in Namangan, and 875.9 billion sums in Syrdarya. In the remaining regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan, these indicators were distributed accordingly.
